The Nigeria Pillar of Sports,Chief Donatus Ejidike Agu, today 6th March 2016, adds another year to his age.

In what could be described as a solemn and low-key celebration that began with a church service on Sunday with family and friends,the businessman cum philanthropist, thanked God for keeping him alive,safe and healthy,while also saying the occasion calls for a deep sober and spiritual reflection.   

'' I thank God for His mercies,kindness and protection on my life over the years,'' he said.   

He continued,'' Even though this moment calls for celebrations,I would ask that we use it to reflect on the socio-economic challenges facing our nation and to pray for God mercies,favour and protection.''       

He also offered prayers for the continued growth and success of Nigeria sports,even as the Super Eagles get prepared to tackle Egypt in a two-legged AFCON 2017 qualification game,later this month.      

'' I implore all Nigerians to continue to pray for the success of our athletes and sports in the country. Sports have brought us so much happiness and joy as a nation,'' Ejidike,who doubles as the President of Karate Federation of Nigeria,enthused.            

'' Let me also use this opportunity to rally all Nigerians at home and in diaspora, to join me in praying for the success of the Super Eagles,as they face Egypt in the battle for the AFCON 2017 ticket.  

We all appreciate that football plays a very important role in our national life,therefore,we should support and for pray for the team and the officials to succeed,'' added the multiple award-winning entrepreneur.
