In a daring manner, the Adamawa State government has declared  support  for the presidential ambition of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the Chief of staff, Abdulrahman Abba Jimeta confirmed, report according to Daily Trust says

Adamawa state is a state controlled by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, the same party President Muhammadu Buhari belongs, and may seek reelection in 2019 

Speaking at the  flag-off of  the construction of Girei-Wuro Bokki road by Governor Muhammad Jibrilla on Thursday, the Chief of Staff said all elected and appointed officials in the state would work for Atiku as soon as he declares his intention to contest.

Our Source says, Abba Jimeta, who spoke in Hausa said " the entire Adamawa.state  government is firmly  behind the former Vice President .where ever he (Atiku) goes,the state government is behind him".

"From the Governor ,to the Deputy governor,the Secretary to the state government , the Commissioners ,the special advisers and special assistants and all other political appointees and members of the State House of Assembly are behind  Atiku Abubakar", he stated.

Extolling  the contribution of Atiku Abubakar to the economy of the state and to nation building, Jimeta said the people of Adamawa ought to reciprocate his generosity by supporting him.

He described Atiku as selfless politician who had never paved way for his children or close relation to gain political office.

" Such an important figure in Adamawa State, we as a government ,have nothing to pay him back, than to support all his,political ambitions and  to give him our support if he declares to run for any political  office".

In his speech, Governor Jibrilla commended President Mohammadu Buhari for his commitment to maintain security in the North-East, calling for public support for federal government agencies working in the state.‎

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who was present at the ceremony extolled the developmental projects being executed by Governor Jibrilla, describing him as the best governor in the history of the state.
