Kogi Renaissance Group has appealed to the vice president,yemi osinbajo and relevant agencies on the dangers of clamping in detention by kogi governor of an activist,Comrade Austin Usman okai under the guise of threat to security of the state
A statement signed in Abuja and circulated to media men said the governor has taking advantage of the indisposition of President Mohammed Buhari and lack of respect for constituted authorities to reign all sort of anomaly on kogites
According to the statement,Abdul jalal Ibrahim on behalf of the body stated that in fairness to Nigerians and particularly kogites,vice president yemi osinbajo need to check the excess of kogi government
He stressed the dangers inherent in his actions having assumed the leadership of the three arms of government in kogi by teleguiding their activities to soothe his whims and caprices
In his words,"kogi governor has usurped the powers of the state Assembly and the judiciary is just a mere rubber stamp as his ailing kinsman is the head of the body and dance to his tune as required by him"
Jalal described the actions of the governor and it's agents as undemocratic,archaic,immodest,uncivilised, unacceptable,ungodly inline with the social contract entered between him and kogites
The group media head urged the vice president and other relevant agencies to direct kogi governor to charge the social crusader to court to pave way for his release instead of continue incarceration
