Over 160 exhibitors from more than 20 countries that represent the latest and greatest innovations in food & beverage industries, both locally and internationally gathered at the Landmark events centre, Lagos, Nigeria, from 17th to 19th May, 2017 showcasing what makes them thick.
It was also a beehive of activities as potential customers, researchers, media, consultants, and distributors, manufacturer etc troops in for one thing or another. It was a haven for both existing and potentials stakeholders. The investors on their own were busy trying to woo customers to their sides with beautiful offers.
Showcasing for the second time in Nigeria by same organizers, INFORMA LIFE SCIENCES, the rebrand grew from the incredible attention in the 2016 event generated both in Nigeria and other West African countries, with the outpouring of visitors from Benin, Togo, Niger, Cameroun, Ghana etc, respectively. The organizers announced that, they also launched the sister show tagged “Food East Africa”, which will be running in Kenya come November this year, 2017.
Asides from key support from Turkey, Nigerian government through NAFDAC supported and endorsed the exhibition. The association of Food Vendors in Nigeria (AFVN) and National Association of Supermarket Operators of Nigeria (NASON) and Ogbaru Main Market Onitcha, also gave it a nod.
Food West Africa which can be described by all involved as the most important regional business to business event in the food and beverage industry, It is also a multi sector affair that showcased the current issues in food supply chain management, revealing the latest modern channels of food distribution in our region, advances in food handling, logistics, updates on food safety and security cum regulations on importation and exportation
