1) Seattle to San Diego
If you are interested in a coastal road trip, take a journey down the west coast and run into some fantastic cities along the way. You would travel along Interstate 5 crossing Washington, Oregon, and California. Go off the Interstate 5 route by traveling along 101. Make sure to stop into San Francisco once you head into California for excellent restaurants and picturesque views.
2) Route 66
There’s very few roads with a song named after them, and Route 66 is the classic road trip experience. While it no longer officially exists, there is still plenty of route 66 to travel, especially from Chicago to Los Angeles. Be sure to check the road trip guidelines since route 66 isn’t on modern maps anymore.
3) Minnesota to Louisiana

4) Drive the eastern shoreline.

5) Lake Tahoe Loop
Drive through Reno to Lake Tahoe in this scenic road trip that takes through spectacular scenery. It’s 142 miles long and begins and ends in Reno. This road trip will give you plenty to do and with it only being a three hour drive will give you plenty of time to take in the scenery.
